Tim Toone Is Nate Burleson's 'Favorite Morman'

"My Favorite Martian" was a popular sitcom in the mid-1960's. Perhaps the Detroit Lions can come up with sort of a modern reboot of the series.

Wide receiver Tim Toone, currently on the Lions' practice squad, broke his leg in practice on Wednesday when he was kicked by a defender in a seven-on-seven drill. Upon returning to Allen Park on Thursday with his leg in a cast, fellow receiver Nate Burleson brought out a marker. How did Burleson address his signature?

From the Oakland Press:

To my favorite Morman.

Hey, that's funny. And maybe even kind of sweet. Football bringing people of different beliefs together.

Except for one thing, which you've probably already noticed. Burleson misspelled Mormon. No big deal to Toone, however, who corrected the spelling on his cast. Ultimately, the sentiment was more important than the spelling.
