Lions quarterback Shaun Hill had surgery on his broken left forearm today. A plate was inserted into his arm during the surgery, and it's expected that Hill will be out for at least a "few weeks."
With the Lions down to only one truly healthy quarterback, many have speculated that a free agent will be signed to add depth to the position. Today, Jim Schwartz said that a move may be made, but nothing is guaranteed. After all, the Lions made due with only two healthy quarterbacks after Matthew Stafford went down, so if Stafford is healthy and good to go after the bye week, there may not be a huge need for a third healthy QB.
