Lions linebacker Zack Follett was released from the hospital today and given the OK to travel back to Detroit. Jim Schwartz had this to say about the injury:
"He’s doing a lot better, and his tests all came back very, very encouraging," Lions coach Jim Schwartz said at his news conference today. "We look forward to a quick recovery and seeing him back on the field some time."
It's unclear when exactly Follett will be able to return. Schwartz wouldn't lay out a timetable or anything, although he did say that this wasn't related to a concussion. Adam Schefter reported that the injury was a "stinger," which is a lot less severe than what could have happened.
