Lions Add Brandon McDonald To Roster

Earlier this week, the Lions claimed cornerback Brandon McDonald off waivers. McDonald was waived earlier in the week by the Cardinals, and Detroit wasted little time in adding him to their roster.

Before playing for Arizona, McDonald was a member of the Browns. Here is a quick write-up on his career from Pride of Detroit:

McDonald was just released by the Cardinals on Tuesday. He joined them back in September after the Browns released him during the final round of roster cuts. He began his career in Cleveland after being a fifth-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Back in August, McDonald made headlines for saying something extremely profane on Twitter about the news that Terrell Owens signed with the Bengals. Let's hope he has since learned to be smarter about what he tweets.

The Lions made room on the roster for McDonald by placing linebacker Zack Follett on injured reserve.
