Lions Reach Sellout; Game Vs. Rams Will Be Televised

A sellout for Sunday’s game versus the St. Louis Rams looked like a near-certainty for the Detroit Lions, with 2,500 tickets remaining as of Thursday afternoon. The NFL, in turn, granted the Lions a 24-hour extension to get those seats sold.

Success! The game has sold out, and the game will be televised locally. It is the team’s first sellout since 2007.

Who to thank? According to the Detroit Free Press, furniture retailer Gardner-White snapped up the remaining 800 tickets.
