Just weeks ago, the Minnesota Vikings traded for wide receiver Randy Moss, acquiring him from the Patriots. A day after losing to the Patriots, it is being reported that Moss will be waived by the Vikings. Moss will likely hit the waiver wire on Tuesday, giving teams from around the league a chance to add him to their roster. Only one team -- the highest on the waiver wire that makes a claim -- will land Moss, but there is already plenty of speculation about where he will end up.
↵Lions fans have been debating whether or not Detroit should put in a claim in an attempt to get Moss ever since the news first came out earlier this afternoon. The Lions' waiver priority is sixth in the league, so it's not out of the question that they would land him if they put a claim in. Will they actually do that, though? Per Tom Kowalski, it doesn't appear likely based on this quote from Jim Schwartz when he was asked about Moss:
↵↵↵Schwartz said there are a lot of factors that go into building a team, including the roles that players will have and their presence in the locker room. "This isn't fantasy football,'' Schwartz said.

It's certainly interesting to think about, but based on what Schwartz said, it doesn't seem likely that the Lions will pursue Moss.
