Lions Vs. Bills: Detroit Trails At Halftime, 7-3

At halftime in Buffalo, the winless Bills are leading the hapless Lions by a score of 7-3. The Lions look lost out there on offense without Matthew Stafford, struggling to consistently move the ball or get into any kind of rhythm. The defense hasn't been too bad for Detroit, but they did give up a big pass play to Lee Evans that led to the game's only touchdown.

Buffalo took a 7-0 lead on a one-yard Fred Jackson run. This came a drive after the Bills turned the ball over on downs, getting stuffed on fourth and short deep in Detroit territory. It was a big stop for the Lions, keeping the score tied at zero for the time being. The Bills punched it into the end zone on their next possession, though.

The Lions have struggled mightily on offense, finally getting points at the end of the second quarter on a 25-yard field goal by Dave Rayner. Shaun Hill was almost picked off twice on the drive after throwing an interception earlier in the game, which just about sums up how rough this game has been for the Lions on offense. They are outgaining the Bills, but overall it has just been an ugly performance.

The Bills will get the ball to start the second half, looking to build on their 7-3 lead.
