CBS scored the NFL's biggest Thanksgiving hit since 1998 with the New England-Detroit game this year, posting a 15.0 overnight rating.
↵The Patriot's 45-24 victory was the highest rated Turkey Day game since Minnesota-Dallas in 1998, which drew a 15.8 rating.
↵The Thanksgiving Day game is always a popular draw in Motown, regardless of the team's record. Detroit sold out the game a week in advance despite another guaranteed losing season. Usually with this type of record the team is unable to sell out a game until just hours before the NFL deadline. Even during the 0-16 debacle in 2008 the Lions were able to fill Ford Field on Thanksgiving.
↵Imagine if the Lions ever get good.
