Lions safety C.C. Brown and linebacker Isaiah Ekejiuba have been ruled out of the team's game against the Jets on Sunday. Both players suffered knee injuries against the Redskins and were unable to practice at all this week.
Amari Spievey is expected to start in Brown's place at safety. Replacing Ekejiuba on special teams could be Landon Johnson or DeAndre Levy, as both players reportedly filled in for him during practice. Personally I would prefer Johnson to take Ekejiuba's spot, because the last thing the Lions need is Levy to hurt himself on special teams.
In other injury news, Lions running back Kevin Smith returned to practice on Friday. He is questionable for Sunday's game, but I would bet he plays.
