Lions' Matthew Stafford Leaves Game With Apparent Shoulder Injury

With his team leading the New York Jets 20-10 in the fourth quarter, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford had to leave the game with an apparent shoulder injury.

Stafford was tackled trying to scramble and landed on his right shoulder, the same one he separated in Week 1 vs. the Bears. He went to the sideline right away, holding his arm to his side. After doctors looked over Stafford, he was wearing a ballcap and had an ice pack on his shoulder. It appears that his day is done, with the Lions holding onto a lead.

Before leaving the game, Stafford had completed 20-of-36 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns. He was replaced by Drew Stanton.
