Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was one of the players that missed practice on Wednesday for Detroit. Johnson, who missed the last couple drives of the Miami Dolphins game last Sunday, is dealing with an ankle injury that has been bothering him recently. It isn't known what his status for Sunday is, but he could just be taking a day off in order to be ready to go later this week.
Cornerbacks Chris Houston and Tye Hill also missed practice for the Lions. Houston is dealing with a shoulder injury that forced him to leave the Dolphins game, and Hill is dealing with an illness. The Lions' depth at cornerback is shaky as is with so many others going down to injuries, so the Lions really can't afford to be without two CBs this week, although Hill is likely to be good to go since he was only out with an illness.
The other Lions player that missed practice today was linebacker Landon Johnson. He suffered another concussion against the Dolphins, so it's likely that his season is over.
