Lions running back Jahvid Best might not be able to play against the Packers in Week 4, but his performance in Detroit's previous three games was enough to warrant some adulation.
↵Best was named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Month for September. (Eagles safety Nate Allen won defensive rookie honors.) He's compiled 307 yards from scrimmage thus far and scored five touchdowns for the Lions. Best opened many eyes around the league with his numbers versus the Eagles in Week 2, when he notched 78 yards rushing, 154 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
↵Perhaps even more impressive is that Best's five touchdowns were the Lions' first touchdowns of the season.
↵Best is questionable for Sunday's game versus Green Bay, as he's been battling a turf toe injury that's kept him from practicing all week.
