Lions Vs. 49ers Score: Detroit On Top in 2nd Quarter, 10-7

Both the Detroit Lions and the Ford Field crowd have picked up where they left off on Monday night. In the second quarter of Sunday's game, the 49ers have already picked up three false starts, and they currently trail the Lions by a score of 10-7.

The Lions got the scoring started thanks in part to a fumble recovery by Kyle Vanden Bosch. He beat the left tackle off the edge on San Francisco's first play of the game and stole the ball from Alex Smith. The Lions went down the field thanks to a couple penalties and had to settle for a field goal after getting inside the five-yard line.

The offense got rolling later in the first quarter with a seven-play, 69-yard touchdown drive. It was capped off by an outstanding touchdown catch by Brandon Pettigrew from 16 yards out.

The 49ers responded with their first positive drive of the game. Frank Gore picked up 47 yards to set up a one-yard touchdown on the first play of the second quarter. The TD cut the deficit to a field goal, which is where things stand early on in the second quarter.
