Jim Schwartz And Jim Harbaugh Will Not Be Fined For Altercation

Earlier in the day, we wrote that there would be no reason to keep writing about the altercation between Jim Schwartz and Jim Harbaugh following the Detroit Lions' coach saying it was a "regrettable situation." The NFL has now confirmed the incident is over, saying there will be no further discipline for either coach.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello went to Twitter with his explanation of the decision.

On Detroit-SF coach incident, fortunately, there was no fighting and thus no basis for a fine... However, both coaches told Ray Anderson today that their post-game conduct was wrong and will not happen again. We believe their response is the correct one and that their post-game conduct going forward will be more appropriate.

The Lions aren't scheduled to play the San Francisco 49ers again for a few more seasons so the bad blood should be complete between the two coaches. If they meet in the Playoffs, though? Who knows.
