Despite losing on Sunday, the Lions remain a top 10 team in the latest NFL power rankings.

despite a home loss to the surprising San Francisco 49ers, the Detroit Lions are still looking good in this week's edition of SBNation's NFL Power rankings. Detroit was at the #2 spot last week, but they are still in the top ten after their first loss of the season. Joel Thorman has the Lions at No. 6 this week:

6. Detroit Lions (5-1, LW: 2): Yeah, the 49ers and Lions played last weekend but now all I remember from that game is Jim Harbaugh's back slap and Jim Schwartz's freak out. The Lions are still one of the best teams in the league this year, despite the loss (and, yes, it still looks weird to write that).

Detroit will look to rebound at home against the up and down Atlanta Falcons, who are desperately looking to keep pace in the NFC South with the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Falcons were a solid playoff team a year ago, but have been unable to generate that consistency this season. Atlanta sits at #20 in this week's rankings.
