Report: Jerome Harrison Not Expected To Play Again This Season Due To Brain Tumor

After news came out that the Jerome Harrison and Ronnie Brown trade between the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions was voided due to the Eagles reportedly discovering a brain tumor in Harrison, most were just concerned about Harrison's health and safety. ESPN is reporting a mixed bag of news, claiming a source has told them that Harrison is not expected to play anymore games this season, which would likely mean he's heading for injured reserve.

There's ten more games to be played in Detroit, and it certainly makes sense to think that a brain tumor could keep you out for that long, but ESPN mixed in some good news as well:

Harrison is not expected to play again this season, but his long-term prognosis both for life and his football career appear to be good, sources said. He is visiting with more doctors Thursday.

That's the most important part, in all honesty. Adam Schefter's initial tweet about the matter (which appears to be deleted at this time, and another tweet with more information taking it's place) also noted that Harrison is expected to be OK, which is another relief.
