Sports Science has looked at Lions' Jahvid Best and Ndamukong Suh in the past, but I don't think I've ever seen one on the inhuman talents of Calvin Johnson.
↵↵First they looked at his speed. The Lions' wide receiver ran a 4.35 second 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, which was as fast as Jahvid Best's and less than three percent slower than the all-time fastest ran by Chris Johnson (4.24) despite weighing over 40 pounds more.
↵They go on to say that Megatron's jumping abilities would've landed him the third highest vertical and longest broad jump ever in the history of the combine had he participated in those events. Johnson has a 45-inch vertical and a 11.7-inch broad jump.
↵Lastly, Johnson's reach might be the most impressive part of the video. Combining his 45-inch vertical, 6-foot-5 frame, 6-foot-10 wingspan, and 8-feet-8-inch standing reach, Johnson has a reach similar to that of Shaquille O'Neal's, which is apparently the largest ever documented in the NBA -- 12-feet-5-inches. That's absurd, but you can't argue with science.
