Jahvid Best Injury Update: Detroit Lions RB Not Practicing, May Not Play Vs. Denver

Maurice Morris will likely get the start for the Detroit Lions on Sunday as they face the Denver Broncos. Starting running back Jahvid Best is not practicing today, and he is not expected to be back in time for Sunday's game as he is continuing to battle a concussion according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. ESPN's Adam Schefter on RBJahvid Best: "I think the fact of the matter is the organization doesn't expect to have him on Sunday."

Best has been out for some time and some doctors have suggested that he shut it down for the season due to his concussion issues. Best suffered a severe concussion in his final season at California, and that cost him the remainder of that season. Morris did rush for 50 yards in last week's loss to Atlanta in Best's absence.
