It's been a tough couple weeks for the Detroit Lions. After starting the season 5-0, they've dropped their last two games against the 49ers and the Falcons.The result has been a drop down NFL power rankings from a top-five team to just barely inside the top ten. They've dropped a point, two points, and this week, we've got somebody dropping them a whole three points.
CBS Sports puts them at number nine, down three spots:
9. Two consecutive losses has the Lions reeling heading into their trip to play the Tebows in Denver. They have to hope Matt Stafford can go.
The Lions haven't been able to stop the run and Jahvid Best has been out with a concussion. They're still in the top ten, which is good, and probably a point of pride for Lions fans whose team wasn't even expected to do this good, when it all comes down to it. If Matthew Stafford can go, they have to be favored over the Broncos.
