Jahvid Best Injury Update: Detroit Lions RB Unlikely To Play Vs. Broncos, According To Sources

This Jahvid Best news probably comes as no surprise seeing as ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier today that Best's status for Sunday was very questionable, but it's worth updating -- Jahvid Best is unlikely to play on Sunday, according to the Detroit Free Press:

The headaches have mostly subsided, and Jahvid Best is feeling "pretty normal," but the Detroit Lions running back is likely to miss his second straight game Sunday with a concussion, a person close to Best said today.

If Best indeed does not play on Sunday that means he will have almost four full weeks to get as close to 100-percent as possible for the second half of the season, which begins with the Bears in Chicago on November 13 and then back-to-back home games, including the annual Thanksgiving Day game.

As was the case last week, Maurice Morris and Keiland Williams will split the workload against the Broncos, with Morris probably receiving the brunt of it again.
