Detroit Lions wide receivers Calvin Johnson and Nate Burleson have both been involved in situations where the process of making a catch rule affected them. In Week 1 last year, Johnson had what appeared to be the game-winning touchdown catch against the Bears ruled incomplete because it was determined he didn't finish the process. This year against the 49ers, Burleson felt the wrath of the same rule before replay overturned the call and gave him a touchdown.
↵As a way poke fun at the awful rule about completing the process, Johnson and Burleson were guests on Kenny Mayne's "Mayne Event" on ESPN Sunday NFL Countdown. Mayne and the Lions receivers joked about how ridiculous the rule is and how nobody seems to understand what it takes to actually complete the process. You can check it out below.
