Jahvid Best Injury: Detroit Lions Running Back Out Vs. Chicago Bears

Jahvid Best has officially been rulled out for the Detroit Lions game against the Chicago Bears this Sunday. It was speculated that would be the case all week, but Friday's official injury report confirmed everything already rumored.

Best, still suffering from the symptoms of the two concussions he has sustained this season, will be replaced in the starting lineup by back-up running back Maurice Morris.

In a bit of a surprise, Best was the only player officially ruled out this week for the Lions. Punter Ryan Donahue was expected to be scratched, but he's listed as questionable due to the right quad injury he suffered while trying to replace Jason Hanson as a practice kicker.

As far as Hanson is concerned, he seems to have recovered nicely from his left knee injury and is currently listed as probable. The other two significant names on the injury report -- quarterback Matthew Stafford and tight end Brandon Pettigrew -- are also probable after being full participants in Friday's practice.

The final injury report can be viewed in its entirety below.
