Losing to the Chicago Bears this past week dropped the Detroit Lions to 6-3 and hurt them in a lot of ways. In fact, most are wondering if the Bears will be the team that surges ahead and takes control of second place in the NFC North with a relatively easy division. The Lions have been all over the power rankings this season, being as high as the mid-20s on some earlier in the season and as high as No. 3 in others. After their third loss, they're dropping, though.

Back to reality for the Lions could mean a lot of things. They're a young team with a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, so their winning ways might be the new reality, but they have played some tough teams and the Bears and Packers both are in their schedule. The Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Green Bay Packers will be of particular significance.
