The tight end position can be a tough one to predict however the Detroit Lions Brandion Pettigrew is second behind teammate Calvin Johnson for receptions on the team. While Pettigrew is second on the team in receptions and fourth overall for tight ends in the NFL he has one of the lower average yards per reception and only three touchdowns on the year, but he did get into the endzone last week.
Over at SB Nation's fantasy sports site Fake Teams, they see Pettigrew getting into the end zone on Thursday:
Pettigrew hasn't done much after his blistering stretch from Week 3 to Week 6. The Oklahoma State product did hit pay dirt last week and caught four of his five targets. Expect the Packers to stick Morgan Burnett on him most of the time and this matchup should be one of the toughest Burnett has seen all year.
Prediction: Five catches for 67 yards and a score.
Overt at numberFire they project Pettigrew to be the eighth ranked tight end this week.
