Detroit Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh is reportedly headed for a suspension that will keep him out for multiple games, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Lions DT Ndamukong Suh is expected to be suspended at least two games.
Suh is under scrutiny after being ejected from Detroit's Thanksgiving Day loss to the Green Bay Packers for shoving offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith's head into the ground and then stomping on his arm after getting up off the ground.
The controversy and suspensions come at bad time for the Lions, as they find themselves fighting for an NFC wild card spot in the playoffs. Detroit's next two games on the schedule are on the road against the New Orleans Saints and at home against the Minnesota Vikings. There is little room for error with the Chicago Bears (7-3), New York Giants (6-4) and Atlanta Falcons (6-4) all engaged in the race for two wild card spots pending the outcome of Sunday's games.
