Lions' Ndamukong Suh Appeals Suspension To NFL

Now that Ndamukong Suh has officially been handed a two-game suspension by the NFL for stomping a Green Bay Packers player on Thursday, he is offically going to appeal the suspension, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Twitter:

Lions DT Ndamukong Suh has formally and officially appealed. Art Shell will serve as the appeals officer.

The league announced the suspension on Tuesday and noted that, if Suh appealed within three days, the league would utilize an expedited hearing process to address the appeal before Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. According to Schefter, Goodell urged Suh to appeal the process, as did the NFL Players Association. NFL Network's Jason La Confora noted that Suh would not spend any time at team facilities for practice while the appeal process is underway.

This is the fifth time Suh has been disciplined by the league over the past two seasons. Suh was ejected from the game on Thursday following the incident.
