Ndamukong Suh Suspension: Hearing To Be Held Thursday Afternoon

Ndamukong Suh officially decided to appeal his NFL suspension earlier this week, staving off what will be a two-game hiatus from the football field if it's overruled. The Detroit Lions defensive tackle won't have to wait for long to know the results, though, as the league office wants to make sure the process is expedited.

Suh will get his hearing on Thursday afternoon, according to the Associated Press, and will be heard by former Oakland Raiders head coach Art Shell.

A person familiar with the process tells The Associated Press that Ndamukong Suh's appeal of his two-game suspension for stomping an opponent will be held Thursday afternoon.

Art Shell, appointed jointly by the league and the players' association for such cases, will hear the appeal by the Detroit Lions defensive tackle.

The appeals process will begin at 3 p.m., according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, with a ruling expected prior to Sunday's game.
