Jahvid Best Injury Update: Lions RB Reportedly Unlikely To Play Against Bears

Jahvid Best is still recovering from a concussion, and it looks like he is unlikely to play this coming Sunday in a key NFC North matchup against the Chicago Bears. ESPN is reporting that he is likely out of Sunday's game, meaning Maurice Morris will likely get the start in his place:

Best, who has dealt with concussions dating back to college, is scheduled to meet with more doctors this week and will undergo further testing, the source said.

Keiland Williams, a second-year player, will likely also see his role increase, as he has been splitting time with Morris during Best's time out. Kevin Smith was recently signed during the bye week to add depth in the backfield after Mikel Leshoure and Jerome Harrison were deemed out for the season already.

Best has been out since the Lions hosted San Francisco in Week 6. Earlier this week it looked like Best was going to be ready to go, but with concussions, especially repeated ones, his future is in doubt.
