Pro Bowl Voting Update: Calvin Johnson Third In Total Votes Received

With five weeks to go in the regular season the NFL has released an update on the fan voting for the Pro Bowl and the Detroit Lions have one player in the top five in terms of total votes received. According to an official release from the NFL, Calvin Johnson rates third in total votes received, trailing only Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. Johnson has received the most votes of a wide receiver:

New England Patriots quarterback TOM BRADY (873,424 votes) leads all AFC players and ranks second overall, while Detroit Lions wide receiver CALVIN JOHNSON (743,335 votes), New England Patriots wide receiver WES WELKER (684,591 votes) and Minnesota Vikings running back ADRIAN PETERSON (680,428 votes) round out the top five on NFL.com.

At individual positions, Ndamukong Suh leads the balloting at defensive tackle. Suh has 387,699 votes, according to the latest balloting. Among the NFC's defensive players, Suh trails only Jared Allen of the Vikings and Charles Woodson of the Packers.

The Pro Bowl will be played on Jan. 29 -- the Sunday before the Super Bowl in Indianapolis -- at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu. Balloting concludes on Monday, Dec. 19.
