The 2011 Pro Bowl is about six weeks away, but the voting for the NFL's annual all-star game is still going strong with a few seasons left in the regular season. The Detroit Lions have been represented since the start with Calvin Johnson and Ndamukong Suh and, perhaps not surprisingly, that remains the same with the NFL's latest update.
Johnson is the top wide receiver, at least as far as votes are concerned, as he's picked up 953,575 votes so far this season. That total puts him in third place as far as total votes are concerned as he trails only Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. Drew Brees and Wes Welker round out the top five.
Suh isn't quite as revered as he's picked up 451,377 votes thus far, but considering he's been out of action the past couple of weeks, that's probably still a solid total as he still leads all defensive tackles.
The annual contest of the AFC and NFC's best will take place Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 at Aloha Stadium.
