Detroit Lions Injury Report, Week 13: Kevin Smith Is Questionable

The Detroit Lions will play the New Orleans Saints this week as they look to stay in the hunt for a wildcard berth in the NFL Playoffs. Their final injury report of the week doesn't seem like it will help them as a total of five players are either out, doubtful or questionable, but it might not look quite as bad when Sunday rolls around.

Kevin Smith is perhaps the most important player listed on the injury report as he's replaced Jahvid Best atop the running back depth chart. Smith was limited on Friday and is listed as questionable on the injury, but Smith told the media after Friday's practice that he plans to play.

"I'm on track," Smith said. And when asked whether he was going to play, he said, "Yeah."

Defensive end Lawrene Jackson is the only player that definitely won't play on Sunday night as he recovers from a thigh injury. Defensive backs Louis Delmas and Chris Houston probably won't play either, due to knee injuries -- though both are listed as doubtful on the injury report. Cornerback Brandon McDonald is questionable due to a thigh injury, though he hasn't practiced since Wednesday.
