Smith missed the game two weeks ago against Minnesota, but was able to return last week against Oakland to help the Detroit running game. Defensive End Kyle Vanden Bosch was limited with a neck injury and did not participate, which could cut into Detroit's pass rush against Philip Rivers. Starters Nick Fairley and Louis Delmas did not participate, either.
