ESPN just posted what appears to be the final Todd McShay mock draft before the 2011 NFL Draft begins on Thursday night. McShay's mock has seven rounds of picks, which means there are six selections for the Detroit Lions.
In the first round, the Lions are predicted to take USC offensive tackle Tyron Smith. Just like Mel Kiper's mock draft, Prince Amukamara isn't set to be picked until the Buccaneers go on the clock at No. 20. Even so, McShay thinks the Lions will take Smith and build for the future on the offensive line.
The Lions other five picks are as follows: Virginia CB Ras-I Dowling (second round), Nevada OLB Dontay Moch (third round), South Carolina DE Cliff Matthews (fourth round), Syracuse RB Delone Carter (fifth round) and Ohio State WR Dane Sanzenbacher (seventh round).
