NFL Draft Grades 2011: Detroit Lions Given B By Fans

Shortly after the 2011 NFL Draft came to a close, Detroit Lions fans voted on Pride of Detroit for what grade they thought the team deserved for the five picks they made over the course of the previous three days. As of the time of this post (5 a.m. on Sunday morning), the poll had more than 1,600 votes, and the majority of them were for an A or B grade.

45 percent of the voters in the poll on POD gave the Lions a B grade. 42 percent of the voters thought the Lions deserved an A. The margin between the A and B grade choices is only 48 votes, which shows just how close the vote is at the top of the grading scale.

The other three choices in the poll didn't receive many votes at all. 170 votes were cast for a C grade, but that was the only other notable option in this poll. Only 23 votes were cast for a D grade, and only 15 people voted for an F.

In general, Lions fans were pretty impressed with what the Lions did during the 2011 NFL Draft. Whether they voted for an A or a B, fans seem to agree that Martin Mayhew is doing some great things as general manager of the Lions.
