Detroit Lions Hire Brandon Fisher (Son Of Jeff Fisher)

The Detroit Lions have hired Brandon Fisher to be an assistant to the defensive coaching staff. This move is likely being made to fill the void on the staff that was created back in March when assistant secondary coach Daron Roberts left the Lions for West Virginia.

Fisher is the son of former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher. Lions head coach Jim Schwartz was Jeff Fisher's defensive coordinator in Tennessee for almost a decade, so he has a connection to the Fisher family.

Brandon Fisher played college football at Montana until a few years ago. He had 169 career tackles in 54 games and did quite well off the field by finishing school with a 3.9 GPA. Now he is looking to get back into the game of football as a coach. He helped out with the Titans offensive coaches for some of last season, and next season he will be helping the Lions' defensive coaches.
