Fresh off of two straight impressive wins to open the 2011 season, the Detroit Lions are making a climb up the latest set of NFL power rankings. After starting the season in the teens in many power rankings, the Lions jumped up to the outside of the top 10 following Week 1. Now they're in the top 10 in most power rankings.
↵In SB Nation's Week 3 NFL power rankings, the Lions are 10th. They are ranked just ahead of the Buffalo Bills, which are also 2-0. They are just behind the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles, which are both 1-1.
↵The Lions are ranked even higher in Pro Football Talk's latest power rankings. Mike Florio put them seventh this week and said "the most stunning reversal, perhaps in league history" will continue this week as the Lions look to get off to their first 3-0 start since 1980.
↵There was a lot of hype surrounding the Lions going into the season, and so far they have lived up to it, as their spot in various power rankings suggests.
