2012 NFL Mock Draft: Lions Back To Cordy Glenn In Latest SB Nation Mock

Cliff Avril is still not a sure thing to be back with the Detroit Lions, but they still aren't assured to take a defensive lineman with their 23rd overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft. The newest SB Nation 2012 NFL Mock Draft has the Lions going to an old standard after the NFL Combine, interior offensive lineman Cordy Glenn.

The Lions need to figure out ways to improve their interior offensive line. Matthew Stafford remained healthy this season but if they want to keep him healthy for the foreseeable future, more protection is needed. Glenn is not a sexy pick, but he would be a very effective guard.

Glenn is a name we've heard a lot of, and with the NFL Combine not doing too much to shake up the offensive linemen -- except perhaps Riley Reiff, who got a blow once his measurements were out -- it's likely that Glenn will continue to be a name thrown around for the Lions until the draft comes.

Naturally, it will depend a bit on how the Avril saga plays out in the end, so there's still intrigue to be had!
