Super Bowl 2012 Scoring Update: Giants Lead 9-0 Over Patriots After First Quarter

The New York Giants have the early advantage over the New England Patriots so far in the Super Bowl, with a 9-0 advantage at the end of the first quarter. The Pats only got one real offensive possession as the quarter went along, with their first attempt with the ball ending in one play when Tom Brady threw an intentional grounding in the end zone and gave the Giants a 2-0 lead.

The lead was built up to 9-0 after a fantastic drive from Eli Manning and the Giants running game led to a fantastic catch for Victor Cruz in the end zone. Tom Brady and the Patriots are driving toward the end zone as the second quarter begins.
