Super Bowl 2012 Stats: Tom Brady Sets Completions Record

Tom Brady did not have a particularly effective first half in the Super Bowl but he's begun to turn it on in a big way in the second half. While leading the Patriots to a touchdown to extend their lead to 17-9 he completed 14 straight passes, breaking the former record for most completed passes in a row in a Super Bowl. The game had already boasted the first ever safety in Bowl history.

Brady is continuing to turn up the heat and his completed pass count currently stands at 16 in a row, with the touchdown pass to Aaron Hernandez being the most recent. Time will tell if he can keep the streak going to even higher levels on the next Patriots offensive drive.
