2012 NFL Draft: Lions Host TCU DE Braylon Broughton For Visit

The Detroit Lions brought in Braylon Broughton, a defensive end from Texas Christian University, to visit their facilities, according to Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com.

Broughton started five games in his senior season at TCU, recording 25 tackles, six tackles for loss and two sacks. He turned heads at TCU's Pro Day when he ran a 4.5 second 40-yard dash. Broughton is 6-foot-4 and weighs in at 255 pounds.

Broughton told Twentyman, however, that he has not lived up to his potential on the field yet.

"It was probably me just not taking the time out to learn the defense as much as I should have," he told Detroitlions.com Monday as he visited the team's practice facility in Allen Park as one of their allotted 30 pre-draft visits. "I have the talent, I just have to put all the knowledge on the field at one time and that kind of held me back a little bit."

Since TCU's Pro Day, Broughton has been fielding calls from around the league, but Monday was his first visit. He is projected to go anywhere from the fifth to the seventh round.
