There are many legitimate questions surrounding the long term health of Lions running back Jahvid Best, who has suffered a number of concussions in his playing career, but the most recent news is that he's okay to work out and take part in the Lions regular offseason program.
Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press corroborated the report and Saturday said that Best will be in Detroit on Monday with the team:
RB Jahvid Best is expected in town to take part in the start of Lions offseason program Monday. Missed final 10 games last yr w/concussion

The Lions are bringing back Kevin Smith and they may target another running back in the draft. The Lions' other running back Mikel Leshoure was arrested for possession of marijuana a week and a half ago.
