Early indications are that the Detroit Lions will be opening their season hosting the Green Bay Packers on Monday night, according Fox 2 sports reporter Jennifer Hammond.

The Lions hosted one Monday night game last season when they defeated the Bears 24-13 on Oct. 10.
On Tuesday, Lions president Tom Lewand seemed to indicate that Detroit will have several primetime games, so Hammond's tweet falls in line with that report.
The Lions lost to the Packers twice last season, including a 45-41 defeat in the final game of the season.
The schedule will be released on the NFL Network tonight at 7:00 ET.
