The Detroit Lions, who have defied consensus among mock drafters, are slated to pick No. 23 in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night.
Mock drafting, of course, is an inherently unscientific process. But even given that, the Lions have proven to be one of the first-round wildcards. For instance:
SB Nation's mock draft has the Lions taking Florida/North Alabama corner Janoris Jenkins.
This CBS Sports mock draft has the Lions taking offensive lineman Jonathan Martin from Stanford.
This mock draft from SI's Peter Kings has the Lions trading down to No. 29, and then picking O-lineman Amini Silatolu from Midwestern State.
These four mock drafts from NFL.com have the Lions taking four different players.
You get the idea...
At any rate, the guessing will end Thursday:
Draft time/date: 8:00 p.m. ET, Thursday, April 26, 2012
Location: Radio City Music Hall, New York, New York
TV: ESPN, NFL Network
