2012 NFL Mock Draft: Lions Take Iowa's Riley Reiff, According To Mock

With the No. 23 pick in the NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions will take offensive tackle Riley Reiff from the University of Iowa, according to SB Nation's final mock draft.

Reiff was a first-team All-Big Ten selection last year for the Hawkeyes, who went 7-6 and 4-4 in the Big Ten.

SB Nation's Ryan Van Bibber had this to say of the selection:

This is a good spot for Reiff, who can learn the ropes and step in for an aging Jeff Backus. He might beat out Gosder Cherilus in August.

In a recent SB Nation mock draft, Van Bibber had the Lions taking Janoris Jenkins at No. 23, and had Reiff going in the second round. In the most recent mock, released Thursday morning, Jenkins is the one who slipped to the second round.

The Round 1 guessing will be laid to rest Thursday evening, with the Draft kicking off at 8 ET.
