Former Michigan defensive tackle Mike Martin was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the NFL draft on Friday night. The Titans used their third-round pick (82nd pick overall) to select the former Wolverine.
Martin, a 6-1, 306 pound DT from Redford, MI was expected to go in the third or fourth round and should have a chance to make an immediate impact on the Tennessee defensive line that is looking to add depth. He will also make the line more versatile as he'll has a chance to join the playing rotation with Jurrell Casey and Karl Klug which may allow Klug to move to defensive end.
Martin was a four-year letterman at Michigan and was named to the All-Big Ten second team as a captain in his senior year.
