Aaron Berry Arrest: Detroit Lions CB Arrested Again, Allegedly Brandished Firearm

The Detroit Lions' nightmare of an offseason got even worse in the wee hours on Saturday morning, as defensive back Aaron Berry was arrested for the second time in just a month on assault charges after allegedly brandishing a firearm.

Berry, who was also picked up for a DUI in Pennsylvania after smashing into parked cars last month, was already likely to face disciplinary action from the NFL before this latest incident threw a wrench into everything. According to Pro Football Talk, Berry is rumored to have pointed a gun at three victims from inside a car, although details of the incident have not been made specific.

With his future in a Lions uniform now clouded with doubt, Berry's latest slip-up could prove to be the last straw for an organization that has no desire to remain in the headlines for poor decision-making from its players. Even though the physical defender was projected to start at cornerback for a much-improved Detroit secondary this year, his foolish actions off the field will surely cost him a good chunk of his 2012 campaign at the very least.
