Detroit Lions running back/kick returner Stefan Logan returned to full participation in practice for the first time since suffering an ankle injury in the Lions' 27-12 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Aug. 17, according to Tim Twentyman.
While Logan was on the practice field, several other Lions players were not, including running back Kevin Smith and cornerbacks Chris Houston and Bill Bentley, all of whom were injured in Saturday's loss to the Oakland Raiders. None of the three are expected to play in the Lions' preseason finale vs. the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, according to head coach Jim Schwartz (via Brad Gallis). However, Schwartz notes that the injuries don't seem to merit any long-term absences.
Wide receiver Calvin Johnson also sat out Monday's practice, as did linebackers Stephen Tulloch and Travis Lewis, defensive tackle Andre Fluellen, tight end Brandon Pettigrew and safety John Wendling.
