With the Lions traveling to San Francisco to face the 49ers in Week 2, last season's intense handshake-turned-screaming-match between head coaches Jim Schwartz and Jim Harbaugh is a popular topic of discussion.
At his weekly press conference on Monday, Schwartz downplayed the incident, saying he and Harbaugh have run into each other in the offseason — and shaken hands — with no problems.
From the Detroit Free Press:
"The NFL's a very scrutinized thing," Schwartz said today. "It comes with it, but that's long in the past. That seems so long ago that that occurred. When two teams take the field, that's not going to be on one players' mind and that's the only thing that's important."
