The Detroit Lions aren't the only NFC North team facing a tough opponent in Week 2, as two NFC North rivals will also be squaring off this week.
Thanks to the NFL expanding Thursday Night Football coverage this year, the Green Bay Packers will play host to the Chicago Bears on Thursday night, as Aaron Rodgers and the Packers look to avoid an 0-2 start to the season. The Bears, meanwhile, will be looking to start off 2-0, coming off of an easy 41-21 win over Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts.
Though Lions fans might not want to see the Bears at 2-0 to start the season, seeing Green Bay at 0-2 might just be worth it.
The Minnesota Vikings, who needed overtime to defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1, will head to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to take on the rebuilding Colts in Week 2, presenting a perfect opportunity for the Vikings to start off 2-0.
Detroit heads to San Francisco to take on the 49ers on Sunday Night Football -- the same 49ers team that went into Green Bay in Week 1 and came away with a victory.
Be sure to check out all the Week 2 action over at SI.com. For the latest on all things Lions, be sure to head over to Pride of Detroit.
