The Detroit Lions suffered a 27-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night, but the good news is no key players were knocked out the game with injuries.
There were four defensive players on the inactive list for Sundays game, including three members of the secondary in cornerback Chris Houston, cornerback Bill Bentley and safety Louis Delmas. The defensive backfield could have used a little more help, as 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree was able to convert on several obvious passing downs. Linebacker Travis Lewis also sat out the game with a quadricep injury.
The injury-free weekend will make it easier for the Lions to bounce back next week as they travel to Nashville, Tenn. to face the Titans. Tennessee is currently 0-2 after getting blown out by the Patriots and Chargers.
